The Circle Feast is an opportunity to celebrate and honour the wisdom that has been gifted through stories that are from our membership and an opportunity to mobilize knowledge. This experience is rooted in cultural teachings related to feasting and we will invite participants to join us in making meals together, being on the land and connecting deeply with one another.
There are many elements to feasting whether it be in the preparation of one’s attendance and spirit- to be present. To be present is to be aware of ourselves and our spirit, to know what we will need to arrive with and or leave behind before we come together. When we arrive at the feast hall (or in this case the zoom link), we are asked to bear witness and to participate wholeheartedly. There are many roles that take place in a feast and each is critical to the gathering. To listen, to speak and to connect with others when we come together is to host others. To host others is to honour their knowledge, experience, roles, work and vision for the community. We will work to co-create and strengthen those gathered. By strengthening our bonds, we are able to leave the feast ready to take our abundance of wisdom home with us to share.

REGISTRATION

The Circle is choosing to activate reciprocity in this season and we are deferring registration fees to one of our Indigenous-led member organizations.

How it works:

1. Fill out this Registration From
2.  Review The Circle’s current list of Indigenous-led members here
3. Send funds directly to an Indigenous-led organization on our list
  • We encourage a minimum of $500 but there is no maximum - The Circle always encourages giving abundantly and without restriction. We also ask that this contribution come from general operating funds or professional development — this should not be considered a grant or require any reporting requirements
4. Complete your registration by filling out this form. You will be required to upload receipt or confirmation of your contribution
5. Take a moment to reflect on this action and learn more about all of The Circle members
6. Block off the Circle Feast dates and times on your calendar; your presence is required for the gathering in it's entirety

Upon confirmation of your contribution, The Circle team will reach out to you with steps to prepare for and access the Feast Gathering.

STAY TUNED!

As we approach the Circle Feast we will be updating this page with: Jade Robert's official Circle Feast art, speakers + programming, and more.

If you would like to have your work featured at the Circle Feast, please email us your pitch! Be sure to relate your pitch with the themes of the event highlighted above.
